About this Mod

Prevents your fishing line from breaking AND stops the fish from escaping if you stop reeling in. Both failure conditions of the fishing mini-game are suppressed independently and can each be toggled via BepInEx config.

Never lose a catch to a snapped line — or a fish that just swims away.

What does this mod do?

The fishing mini-game has Two separate ways to fail, and this mod handles both:

Line breaking (RodBreaking) — Your line snaps when too much stress accumulates. This is caused by fighting the fish too aggressively or for too long without pulling.
Fish escape (FishBeEscaped) — If you stop reeling in, the fish's escape progress fills up until it pulls the line free and gets away. This is a completely separate mechanic from line breaking.

Both are suppressed independently via Harmony patches applied to KAnglingFighting and KAnglingRodMono.

How it works (technical)

Line breaking prevention (3-layer)

The breaking velocity is clamped to zero, so stress cannot accumulate.
The break threshold is raised to float.MaxValue, so it can never be reached.
Both the accumulated break value and velocity are force-reset to zero every update tick as a safety net.

Fish escape prevention (2-layer)

The escape threshold is raised to float.MaxValue, so escape can never trigger no matter how long you wait.
The escape progress accumulator is force-reset to zero every update tick via its backing field (the setter is private in the game's code).

Configuration

Both features are independently togglable at any time (compatible with Config Manager). Set either to false to restore that portion of vanilla behavior.
