Ultra Realistic ReShade

Install:
1. Download the ReShade Preset on files at the top of this page. Download the latest ReShade Version -> https://reshade.me
4. Start the ReShade setup.exe and browse for the Dawnwalker.exe in the menu and click next. (For example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Blood of Dawnwalker\Dawnwalker\Binaries\Win64 )
5. Select DirectX10/11/12 in ReShade setup and click Next.
6. Select the following effects in the ReShade setup:(You must place checkmark symbols by) Double-click  and not a black filled square in front of the effects:

• Standard effects
• SweetFX by CeeJay
• Legacy effects
• AstrayFX by BlueSkyDefender
  

7. Click next and then click finish.
8. Go to your game main directory where the game Dawnwalker is located.exe is located. 
9. Unzip my downloaded ReShade Preset and simply drag and drop all the files in the main directory. (Overwrite files if needed)
10. Start the game. The first start may take a few seconds longer.
11. Done. ReShade should now be active.

To check if ReShade has loaded, open the ReShade menu with the "HOME" key on your keyboard and open the "Start" tab at the top of the ReShade menu if it is not already open.

In-Game Hotkeys for ReShade:
HOME-Key = Open ReShade Menu
DEL-Key = Toggle ReShade On/Off
Page Up/PgUp-Key = Quickly switch between Normal Version and Less Bloom Versions (Only works when Less Bloom Version is installed)

(Optional) Less Bloom and Saturation Version:

• This version can help if your HUD and subtitles are too bright and the image looks too vibrant for you.
  

Install:
1. Install the “Normal Version” with the instructions above (If you haven't already done so)
2. After you installed it, download the Ultra Realistic Less Bloom and Less Saturation from my files.
3. Unzip the folder and simply drag and drop the file in the main directory again.
5. Start the game and press the HOME key to open the ReShade menu.
6. At the top of the menu (in the “start” tab) you should see a bar with the description: Ultra Realistic ReShade.ini, Click on it. Scroll down in the drop-down menu, search for "Ultra Realistic ReShade Less Bloom and Less Saturation.ini" and select it.
7. Done.

(Now you can easily switch between the Normal version and the version with less bloom in the ReShade menu at any time by repeating step 6. Simply select either the “Ultra Realistica ReShade.ini” or “Ultra Realistica ReShade Less Bloom and Less Saturation” file. Or by using the Hotkey= Page Up/PgUp-Key)

Customization Guide

• My preset serves as a starting point that you're welcome to customize to your liking. Here are a few ideas:
  

Contrast adjustments
Curves.fx - use the Contrast Slider to increase or decrease the overall contrast.
Levels.fx - use the Black Point Slider to reduce or increase contrast for dark areas
Levels.fx - use the White Point Slider to make bright areas less or more bright

(I recommend testing the “Curves.fx” slider first)

Saturation adjustments
Vibrance.fx - use the Vibrance Slider to adjust saturation more naturally.
DPX.fx - use the Colorfulness Slider to increase or decrease saturation
DPX.fx - Use the Saturation Slider to increase or decrease saturation more significantly

(I recommend testing the “Vibrance.fx” slider first)

To uninstall ReShade, simply manually delete all the added ReShade files in the main game folder (especially dxgi.dll, or d3d12.dll if you renamed it).
