FIA v25 is available now! Updated for Nightreign's v1.02.1 Regulation

What is ModEngine3? Why does FIA require this now?
  • Mod Engine 3 is a modding framework for FromSoft games that allows you to launch mods as ".me3" profiles (ex. FIA_SeamlessCoop.me3)
  • After installing ModEngine3, These ".me3" profiles can be launched like a ".exe" to magically find Nightreign and launch the modded game
  • Think of ModEngine3 'layering' FIA ontop of Nightreign like a blanket- thus requiring no need to install anything into the game directory itself!
  • This also means you are free to move the "Fun is Allowed_ERNightreign_vXX" folder anywhere on your PC and it will still work
  • FIA uses ME3 because it allows me to modify UI files, animation files, text files and more

Install Guide:

  • Download and install ModEngine3 (get it from HERE and go to "Releases". Grab the "me3_installer.exe" --- "Installer for Windows")
  • Download Seamless Coop (you should see a "SeamlessCoop" folder sitting right next to "nrsc_launcher.exe")
  • Inside the "Seamless Coop" folder, copy everything inside and paste it into the "\FIA\native" folder
  • Launch "FIA_SeamlessCoop.me3"

New Major Release: The Revenant Character Rework



  • The Revenant Character Rework is finally here!
  • Revenant is no longer a Spellcaster w/ Summons ... Summoner is now her core playstyle!
  • Each summon acts as a specific tool in her kit, providing powerful synergies
  • Intro Skills, Spirit Skulls, Spirit Binding, galore! This isn't normal Revenant anymore

The Revenant Character Rework_v25 Changelog + Thoughts:

  • v25:
    • Tweaked FoV values across the game to expand the camera for certain fights (mostly against bigger bosses)
    • Tweaked FoV to (hopefully) reduce motion sickness regarding Surge Sprint values
    • Revenant HP Scaling made to be oppressive once again:
      • Revenant's overall HP pool hasn't actually been nerfed- only how its distributed as she levels up
      • Revenant now stays squishy early from Levels [1] --> [6]
      • The difference this time, is that Rev's largest HP gains are now at Levels [7] and [8]
      • Re-emphasizes that Rev is weak early, but she is still capable of doing [Day 2] content
      • Starlight Shards and +HP Relics should be enough to help players overcome this challenge
    • Adjusted Rev's HP buffs from [Spirit Binding] (mostly a nerf to [Frederick's Spirit] from [2x] --> [1.7x] HP multiplier)
    • Nerfed Starlight Shard HP multiplier from [5%] --> [2.5%] per proc for all characters
    • Fixed Sebas' [[Magic Spirit Skull]] not actually giving Rev the protective buff ... whoops. (she gets a visible blue effect now!)
    • Improved and/or added [Hyper Poise] to:
      • All of Recluses' Mana Shields
      • Executor's Cursed stance
      • Executor's [[Sun Beast]] proc
      • Revenant's Frederick summon
      • Revenant's protection by Sebas' [[Magic Spirit Skull]
    • Added [Weapon Tags] to the game:
      • [Tags] are information added before/after the weapon's name, to denote key information to the player
      • First tag update is adding [DEX] at the end of all Weapons that scale primarily with the Dexterity stat in Nightreign
      • This is to help Rev players figure out quickly which weapons work best with [Helen's Spirit], but is also useful for other characters
      • Unlike normal Elden Ring- most weapons scale with Strength in Nightreign
      • You can rely on the fact that if the weapon doesn't say [DEX]- it probably scales with Strength
      • Did the same thing to the few weapons in NR that scale with Faith
      • Will be taking advantage of this naming scheme to do cool things in future updates!
    • Cleaned up several params
  • v23:
    • Storm Ruler is now (hopefully) finally fixed
    • Revenant's Claws can now be dropped again, in consideration of Everdark Augur's new mechanic
    • Increased Rev's HP Scaling. On average, she starts significantly lower than Recluse, until they converge at [537] HP at [Lv.8]. Aftterwards, Rev is slightly lower again. This should hopefully make it so Rev is overall more fragile than vanilla NR, but not frustratingly so.
    • Rev's HP now fully restores during a [Spirit Binding], so they're not chugging Estus to benefit from the Max HP buffs
    • Frederick's added DMG Negation buffed from [40%] --> [70%]
    • Frederick now has [Hyper Poise]; meaning he is very unlikely to stagger anymore during a fight
    • The heal from Rev's Lyre to Fred has been doubled to [2%] of Fred's Current HP + [30] Flat HP per Second
    • All "Heal" Incantations in the game now disproportionally heals Revenant's Summons- especially for Frederick
    • Sebas' [[Lesser Rancor]] projectiles now have their additional Blight Buildup removed and shoots [2] per proc, with increased DMG
    • Starlight Shards buffed overall. They now give all characters [5%] Increased Max HP per proc, however they give additional [Vigor] to Recluse and Revenant
    • Recluse gets [1] Vigor per Starlight Shard (20HP) and this is doubled for Revenant (40HP)
    • Nerfed Spirit Binding stat buffs to reflect Revenant's new HP Scaling
    • Hopefully these changes make Revenant more fun + fair to play as!
  • v22:
    •  (painfully) Re-did custom work on c000.anibnd.dcx to ensure full 1.02 Nightreign compatibility. Its possible some things broke ...
    • Dasaav figured out why users were crashing. This should be fixed. Thank you!
    • Added 'Difficulty Modifiers' to the game via Gestures. They make the game HARDER and only proc [60] seconds after respawning!
    • Made [[Magic Spirit Skull]] smaller, more transparent with a lighter hue of blue (to help make Revenant more readable

  • v21 - Revenant Rework:
    • Rebuilt + Fixed for Nightreign v1.02
    • Unlike a Character Overhaul- Revenant has been completely Reworked and no longer plays as the same as vanilla
    • Revenant is now weak, her stats are trash and dies easily
    • In exchange? Her synergy with summons has never been stronger
    • The changes are extensive- its recommended to read the FIA Overview, but playing her gives you the full picture.
  • Revenant changes:
    • Stats has been severely nerfed (EXCEPT her Faith stat!)
    • Pulling out Lyre (Skill Button) now gives you 13 iFrames
    • Pulling out Lyre or summoning her family will inflict Death Blight Buildup on Rev
    • Rev's Cursed Claws removes Blight Buildup
    • Rev summoning any family member always procs a Summon-specific [Intro Skill]
    • Rev proc'ing Ultimate near any family member will [Spirit Bind] them to her, giving her HP + Stats in return!
    • All Summons have their HP & DMG Negation universally increased



  • Helen (Sword Page) changes:
    • She is now a powerful DPS Summon, built to kill Bosses she normally couldn't face
    • Helen's attacks now restores FP back to Rev
    • Helen does 25% increased DMG, her melee attacks procs Ghostflames and inflicts [Frostbite]
    • Helen's [Intro Skill] procs [[Icy Spirit Skull]], an immobile entity that shoots Frost Shards at Helen- but deals DMG only to enemies
    • Rev can de-summon Helen to steal [[Icy Spirit Skull]] for herself. Having it harmlessly shoot at Rev, but restores her FP
    • Pulling out Lyre (Skill Button) nearby now gives Helen direct iFrames, allowing her to solo like never before!
    • Rev proc'ing her Ult near Helen binds her Spirit, giving Rev [[Helen's Spirit]]
    • [[Helen's Spirit]] grants Rev [1.6x] HP, doubled [2x] Max Stam and [40] DEX for [180] seconds!



  • Frederick (Burly Tank) changes:
    • He is now a proper Tank Summon, built to survive Night Lords when needed
    • Whenever Fred takes DMG near Rev, he restores FP back to her
    • Fred's Ultimate DMG has been buffed and now spawns with 3200 HP (!)
    • Fred now has [Hyper Poise] (aka, he doesn't stagger easily anymore)
    • HOWEVER, Fred's [Intro Skill] procs [[Burning Spirit Skull]] that slowly kills Fred
    • Pulling out Lyre (Skill Button) and moving near Fred restores his HP, keeping him in the fight!
    • Rev can de-summon Fred to steal [[Burning Spirit Skull]] for herself, spewing magma in front of her and into enemies
    • Rev proc'ing Ult near Fred binds his Spirit, giving Rev [[Frederick's Spirit]]
    • [[Frederick's Spirit]] grants Rev [1.7x] HP and [40] STR, but at the cost of [-40 DEX] for [180] seconds!



  • Sebastian (Big Skeleton) changes:
    • He is now a proper Mana Summon, built to be the best option to restore Rev's FP
    • Pulling out Lyre (Skill Button) and moving near Sebas restores [2%] Current FP + [3] Flat FP per second
    • Pulling out Lyre also sends out two [[Lesser Rancor]] projectiles at enemies, each dealing [77] Magic DMG
    • Sebas' [Intro Skill] sends out a [[Magic Spirit Skull]] to protect Rev for 12 seconds
    • Rev proc'ing Ult near Fred binds his Spirit, giving Rev [[Sebastian's Spirit]]
    • [[Sebastian's Spirit]] grants Rev [1.5x] HP and [20] INT, in addition to a whopping [2x] Max FP Multiplier (!)

  • Other changes:
    • [Starlight Shards] now grants [2.5%] Increased Max HP. This buff also adds [Vigor] for Revenant and Recluse
    • Nerfed [[Shadow Beast]] DMG Multiplier from 50% --> 35%
    • Nerfed 1.02 Rune Gain for Duos from 30% --> 15% (okay listen, before 1.02- there was Duos scaling if someone left in a 3-team. It used to be 10%. 30% is too much for FIA)
    • Other changes/stuff I don't remember because I've worked on this for 2 weeks straight

Mr. Gaiety's thoughts:

With Nightreign 1.02's Duos Mode- Fun Is Allowed transitioned from being a Rebalance mod, into a Overhaul.

The #1 design philosophy with the Revenant update was "Make Revenant <-> Summons more interactive".

Initially this was meant to be just a character overhaul. However as I kept making changes, I realized this wasn't normal Revenant anymore. I was clearly pushing her in a direction that went against what Fromsoft (probably?) envisioned, as the strength of Rev's summons made sense in a productive 3-man team.

But as someone who loved playing Necromancer in Diablo II, this wasn't enough for me. For once, I had the knowledge/experience to change the game into what I wanted.

This is controversial for anyone who did enjoy Revenant's original playstyle. Which is why I'm making it clear this is a Character Rework, but not a Character Overhaul. I hope Rev mains will still find this version of the character fun to play.
