Welcome to East Scarp, a bustling suburb adjacent to Pelican Town!Adding new NPCs, events, special orders, animals, crops, recipes, items, lore, plus stories and secrets.And, you can customize your experience with additional NPCs.

Welcome to East Scarp, a bustling suburb adjacent to Pelican Town!
This expansion is designed by the community, for the community. The base project includes 23 NPCs and a menagerie of critters to befriend, plus new farm animals, items, recipes, land, fish, and more. East Scarp also serves as a hub for the works of numerous other authors: there are over 15 additional characters - with more to come in the future - all with robust and substantial content of their own.
East Scarp is compatible with all other major content mods, including All, RSV, SBV, DTZand VMV.

The 3.0 Update is a re-imagined experience; the seaside village now has a large cast by default, including characters that previously required additional mods! All of your familiar favorites are present: Jacob & Eloise, Aideen, Rosa, Beatrice, Victoria, Eyvind, Josephine, Kataryna, Oliver and Vivienne - but with a ton of new neighbors! Meet Dale, Edith, Ethan, Jade, Jasper, Jessie & Juliet, Keanu, Michael, Corwin and more in a version of East Scarp packed to the gills with things to do and people to meet. All of them are vanilla adjacent with feel-good, emotionally driven stories for you to enjoy. And a number of them are marriageable!

East Scarp includes over 100 events between a diverse cast of characters who are carefully intertwined with one another. There are also numerous new Special Orders, introducing fun new rewards, and an array of new items, animals, crops and recipes. Enjoy high country fishing in the Deep Mountains, seek the elusive king carp, or hunt for nudibranchs in the tidepools. From the village itself, to the Deep Mountains, to Lore's Cove - there's always somewhere to poke around, things to find, and secrets to uncover. And, of course, the obligatory pelicans!

East Scarp has become quite the community endeavor. The space initially started as a home for mod authors to place their NPCs, since the vanilla areas were becoming quite crowded. In the five years since East Scarp's inception, it's become a second home to a number of contributors, all of which have developed their own niche experience! These are separate from the base mod because their creators deserve to be able to host their work and receive acknowledgement of their own for it, plus it allows your game to be more customizable.

Fievel Goes East Scarpis the story of a Hat Mouse who comes to seek a "land without cats", but winds up making some unexpected friends!

Lavrilis a mysterious young girl with her haunted toy rabbit, and a past of secrets.

Translators should upload their translation as a separate mod, designed to drag and drop into the i18n folders. Do not include or redistribute any assets from this mod except the translated portions. Join us on Discordfor access to numerous additional characters who are still works in progress. Learn to make your own, if you're so inclined. East Scarp is open to new creators, pending an application process that includes making a playable demo. Don't worry if you have no modding experience - neither did most of the other NPC authors. All it takes is patience, effort, and a dash of love - er, creative writing!

Additional Notes:

I enjoy and invite portrait and sprite retexture mods, as long as they are not AI or NSFW. You do not need to ask permission if you are redrawing the portraits in your own style. If you are modifying existing portraits, please reach out first.
Please ask before modifying dialogue. I welcome expansion on my content, but I would like to know about it. This is strictly regarding base East Scarp (and the characters within); the additional mods have their own permissions, please respect them.
