About this Mod

An expansion for the Adventurer's Guild featuring new quests, over 30 story events, new romanceable NPCs, and the ability to befriend and recruit a friendly monster to live on your farm! Compatible with SVE!


Adventurer’s Guild Expanded is an expansion for the Adventurer's Guild, featuring new quests, over 30 story events, new romanceable NPCs, and the ability to befriend and recruit a friendly monster to live on your farm! It's also compatible with mods like SVE and RSV!

After you’ve played at least 15 After a few in-game days and completing the Adventurer's Guild initiation, you can trigger a new event there. Finishing the "Expanding the Guild" quest unlocks the Monster Research Wing, dedicated to studying the monsters in the local mines. Plus, Marlon’s nephew and niece will move to Stardew Valley to help run it!

After the Monster Research Wing is built, two new romanceable NPCs will move to Stardew Valley! Expand the spoilers underneath an NPC's name to learn more about them!

Gabriel is Marlon’s nephew and Zinnia’s older brother. He runs the Monster Research Wing and dedicates most of his time to studying the dangerous monsters that lurk in the caves, trying to find a way to get rid of them in order to stop future problems. A traumatic incident he had as a young child caused him to become closed off and reserved - he rarely talks to people and believes that making friends is a waste of time that could be used to further his research.

Enter the Adventurer's Guild after witnessing Gabriel's 4-Heart Event.


8 Heart Event "The Story Gets Told"
After reaching 8 Hearts and viewing Gabriel’s 6-Heart Event, he will send you a letter in the mail. Enter the Monster Research Wing after reading Gabriel’s letter.


10 Heart Event ("Love Mountain")
Part 1: After watching Gabriel's 8-heart event, leave the farmhouse between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM. You must be dating or married to Gabriel.
Part 2: After watching Part 1 of the event, go to the Bus Stop between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. You must be dating or married to Gabriel.


14 Heart Event (“She’s Still With Us”)
Part 1 After viewing Gabriel's 10-heart event, exit the farmhouse between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM. You must be married to Gabriel.
Part 2: After watching Part 1 of the event, enter the mines with a Bouquet in your inventory. You must be married to Gabriel.


Zinnia:

Zinnia is Marlon’s niece and Gabriel’s younger sister. A friendly, optimistic "sunshine" girl who just wants to meet new people and experience everything Stardew Valley has to offer. Often overlooked by her family for lacking a clear goal or passion, but that won’t stop her from trying everything and having a great time!

Enter the Adventurer's Guild between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM.


6 Heart Event ("Book of Dreams")
Enter the Library/Museum after seeing her 4-Heart Event.


8 Heart Event ( "Zinnia's Discovery" )
After reaching 8 Hearts and viewing her 6-Heart Event, Zinnia will send you a letter in the mail. Enter the Mines after reading Zinnia’s letter to trigger the event.


10 Heart Event (“Once In A Blue Moon”)
After reaching 10 Hearts and viewing both her 2-Heart and 8-Heart events, Zinnia will send you a letter. Read the letter, then enter the Mines between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM to trigger the event. You must be dating or married to Zinnia.


14 Heart Event ("A Field of Zinnias")
Part 1: After seeing Zinnia's 6-Heart and 8-Heart events, leave the farmhouse between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM. You must be married to Zinnia.
Part 2: After watching Part 1 of the event, you can enter the Flower Paradise anytime as long as you have a 'Life Essence' in your inventory. You must be married to Zinnia.


Befriend Zinnia and Gabriel to uncover their ambitions, personalities, and hidden doubts. You might even discover their past—what really happened to their mother? Why does their father despise adventuring? Play to find out!

Giftable NPCs:

If you choose to agree with Zinnia during the ‘Slime Soul’ event, Silly The slime will become a giftable NPC. Silly is a slime originally born in the mines, summoned to the Research Wing and mutated by the energy of pure iridium. After visiting the Wizard, the player can understand and talk to Silly. 

Silly will initially be confined to the Monster Research Wing. However, after completing the Zinnia route of the "Slime Research" questline, Silly will start visiting the town and other areas around the valley. Once the player reaches 10 hearts with Silly, they can invite Silly to live on the farm. After finishing the corresponding quest, Silly will move into a new basement beneath the farmhouse.

8 Heart Event (“Silly Is Ready!”)
This event is part of the Slime Research Quest When Zinnia’s path is chosen. 
Part 1: After completing "The Final Step" quest (reaching 8 hearts with Silly), Zinnia and Silly will greet you as you exit your farmhouse anytime between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM on a sunny day.
**Part 2:** After watching Part 1, enter the town on a sunny day before 8:00 PM.


10 Heart Event (Silly's New Home)
Part 1: After watching Silly's 8-heart event (Part 2), enter town on a sunny, non-winter day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Part 2: If the player allows Silly to move in, they will receive a quest. After delivering 100 hardwood to Robin and completing the quest, Robin will greet them the next day as they leave the farmhouse.
Part 3: Enter the newly built Monster Basement after watching Part 2.
After completing the quest (regardless of whether you view Part 2 or Part 3), Silly will move into the Monster Basement under the farmhouse the following day.

Daniel Is Gabriel and Zinnia’s father, and Marlon’s brother-in-law. He works as a police officer in Zuzu City. After his wife’s death, he becomes strongly opposed to the Adventurer’s Guild. He sees so much of his wife in Zinnia that he becomes fiercely protective of her, believing she’ll put herself in danger if she ever leaves his side.

After Zinnia's 4 Heart Event, Daniel will occasionally stop by the Adventurer's Guild. You can find him outside the Monster Research Wing, near Gil.

Daniel will become a fully giftable and romanceable NPC in a future update.


 Daisy:

Daisy She was Gabriel and Zinnia's mother, Marlon's sister, and Daniel's wife. Her passion in life was exploring the cave system to uncover wondrous, hidden mystical secrets. However, a sudden accident took her life, leaving a deep impact on Gabriel and Daniel.

Daisy appears in several of Gabriel and Zinnia's heart events.





Adventurer's Guild Expanded features multiple unique questlines, each with its own rewards and events. The main questlines focus on uncovering the secrets of various monster races, alongside several smaller questlines. Below you'll find summaries and tips for each questline if you're stuck or need help. 

Expand the questline name to view its quests. 

Expanding The Guild
Marlon wants to expand the Guild and build a new research wing. Will you help him?

Expand a quest's name to see hints. Quests appear in the order listed.

"Expanding The Guild" #1

Bring Robin 600 pieces of wood. You must deliver them all at once in a single stack (attempting to gift her fewer than 600 will result in giving that smaller amount to her instead).

“Expanding The Guild” #2

Wait 2 days after completing “Expanding The Guild” #1. One day after finishing the quest, Robin will greet you when you leave the farmhouse. Two days after completing the quest, Marlon will send you a letter about the Guild’s expansion, and you can enter the Guild to finish the quest.


**Slime Research**
The first monster race you and Gabriel will explore is the slimes — those squishy, seemingly cute creatures that can turn deadly if ignored. How can they be calmed and stopped from harming other humans? It’s up to you to figure that out!

Monster Research Wing

After meeting Gabriel and Zinnia, simply enter the new Monster Research Wing of the Adventurer’s Guild to start the "Slime Research" questline.


Slime Research: Step 1

Slay 30 GREEN slimes in the mines. Only green slimes will satisfy this quest. You may notice a new item dropping from them…


“Slime Research: Step 2”
**Spoiler:**

Bring a Slime Gem, obtained by defeating Green Slimes, to the Monster Research Wing. You should have received at least one Slime Gem from killing 30 slimes in the previous quest. If not, keep slaying slimes until you get one.


"Slime Research: Step 3"

A day after finishing "Slime Research: Step 2," Gabriel will greet you as you leave the farmhouse, unlocking the crafting recipes for "Life Essence" and "Slime Soul." Gather the required items—Purple Mushroom, Diamond, and Starfruit—to craft a Life Essence. Then, combine it with 10 Slime Gems (obtained by slaying cave slimes) to craft a Slime Soul. Deliver the Slime Soul to the Monster Research Wing.


After completing "Slime Research: Step 3", you must make a choice that splits the questline. The two paths are listed below.

Gabriel’s Path:

If you chose to agree with Gabriel during the Slime Soul cutscene, you will have the following quests:

“Slime Research: Step 4”

After agreeing with Gabriel, you'll receive the crafting recipes for 'Frozen Slime Soul' and 'Fire Slime Soul'. Gabriel first requests a 'Frozen Slime Soul' — combine 5 Iron Ore, a Frozen Tear, and a 'Slime Soul' (you should already have the recipe) to craft it. Deliver the 'Frozen Slime Soul' directly to Gabriel.


Slime Research: Step 5

After delivering a Frozen Slime Soul to Gabriel, he will request a Fire Slime Soul. You should already have the crafting recipe unlocked. Combine 5 Gold Ore, 1 Fire Quartz, and a Slime Soul (you should already have the recipe for it) to craft a Fire Slime Soul. Hand the Fire Slime Soul directly to Gabriel.


Slime Research: Step 6

After delivering the Fire Slime Soul to Gabriel, he will ask for some time to study it. The next day, he will greet you at your door.


"Slime Research: Step 6" #2

After meeting Gabriel at your farm, head to the Monster Research Wing.


“The Final Step”

After finishing "Slime Research: Step 6" #2, new secret notes will start appearing (if you obtained the Magnifying Glass from the "Winter Mystery" base game quest). These notes hint at the solution, but viewing them is not required to solve it.

Raise friendship (through gifting, talking, etc.) with Silly the slime until you have at least 8 hearts. Exiting the farmhouse after reaching 8 hearts will trigger a cutscene that completes the quest.

The mods listed above this are the only mods required for this mod to function, but I highly recommend the below mods to pair with Adventurer's Guild Expanded!

This mod should be compatible with most mods. Some popular mods are listed below:

Stardew Valley Expanded - Should be Fully Compatible. The map changes should not affect anything with the events, and this mod makes no change to Marlon.

Other Major Expansions (Ridgeside Village, East Scarp, Downtown Zuzu, etc.) These mods don’t affect the Adventure Guild map and are thus fully compatible.

Make Marlon Real and Befriend Marlon - Compatible. This mod does not affect Marlon, and the map changes present in both mods do not impact the events.

Portrait/Sprite Mods - Compatible. This mod does not alter the sprites or portraits of any existing characters. New NPC sprites and portraits will remain unchanged regardless of the portraits or sprites you use, so be aware that they might not match. The portraits and sprites created for new NPCs are designed to fit the vanilla and slightly modified vanilla styles.

Custom NPC DenverCompatible. As with most custom NPCs, their schedule and events shouldn't affect anything in this mod. Denver is stated to be another nephew of Marlon, which can still fit lore wise, as we are never told how many siblings Marlon really has :)

Custom Farm Maps - Certain farm maps may not be compatible with the Monster Basement, which unlocks after Silly's 10-heart event. Grandpa's Farm and Immersive Farm 2 Remastered for SVE are both compatible. but I cannot guarantee any others - there is a config option to turn off the farm entrance (and use only the Bus Stop entrance) if you encounter an incompatibility.

**Other Map Changes** - Mods (excluding those listed above) that affect maps may not be compatible For certain events, actors may be seen walking through objects on the map. The Monster Research Wing extension may also not display correctly. I cannot guarantee compatibility with all mods, so use at your own risk.

Multiplayer - Untested, but I've made it work in Multiplayer. Only the host can progress the main questline, but all players can view the heart events for Gabriel and Zinnia. 

Mobile & Versions Earlier Than 1.5 I do not know if this mod works on mobile (or for versions of Stardew Valley below 1.5). I won’t be able to add mobile support because I currently have no way to test it. For now, I assume this mod... is not compatible Versions below 1.5.

Please report any incompatibilities to me (especially with SVE), and I will try to see what I can do!



Because this is a story-based expansion, there is currently only 1 config option. I’m always open to adding more or making existing features configurable, so let me know if you have any suggestions! Below I've listed the available config options and their descriptions.

Allow Festivals: Toggles New NPCs appearing at festivals. Can be turned off if they conflict with other NPCs (full compatibility with every NPC's location is not guaranteed). Does not affect the Night Market.Default: true.
FarmBasementEntrance Toggle the farmhouse entrance for the Monster Basement. Recommended to disable if using a custom farm map.Default: true.
