Larger Scan Area

Increases the polygonal scan distance to 90m (vanilla is 6m) and lets you place 25 probes instead of 6, so you should be done faster
Affects the basic version, you don't need to upgrade them

Note: in some areas the game may start lagging if you place too many probes -- if that happens, retrieve all probes and start again

Installation:

Steam: extract the archive to your game root folder (steamapps/common/The Alters). This will unpack three files to the ~mods folder.

The full path for Steam should be:
/The Alters/TheAlters/Content/Paks/~mods/

For Xbox game pass, you need to unpack it into The Alters/Content folder, the path will be:
/The Alters/Content/TheAlters/Content/Paks/~mods/


Uninstallation:

Delete the installed Scanner pak/ucas/utoc files in ~mods.
