StarRupture Power Guide (2026): How to Connect Power & No Wires Fix

StarRupture gameplay on an alien planet showing industrial rails connecting power to an Ore Extractor, with a holographic XMODhub Trainer overlay for infinite energy cheats.

You built your first Solar Panel. You built your Ore Extractor. Now you are frantically scrolling through the build menu looking for the “Copper Wire” icon — here’s StarRupture how to connect power:

Stop looking. It doesn’t exist.

StarRupture (released Jan 6, 2026) has confused thousands of veteran factory game players by throwing out the traditional “power pole” logic used in games like Satisfactory. There are no hanging cables in this game.

In this guide, we will explain the unique “Touch System” mechanics, how to fix your “No Power” error instantly, and how to bypass the energy grind entirely with XMODhub.

The Core Mechanic: The Rail Is The Wire

In StarRupture, electricity flows through physical contact. If two buildings are touching, they share power. But you can’t place buildings everywhere.

So, how do you move power? Through the Industrial Rails (conveyor belts).

The 3 Hidden Conductors:

  1. Industrial Rails: This is the most important mechanic. The rail that transports your Iron Ore also transports your electricity. You do not need a separate cable.
  2. Foundations (Platforms): Any machine placed on the same concrete slab as a Solar Panel is powered.
  3. Bridges & Walkways: These structures are designed to carry power over rough terrain where you cannot build foundations.
Editor’s Note: Think of the Industrial Rail as an extension cord. If the rail connects your base to a mine, the mine is now “plugged in.”

Step-by-Step: How to Power a Distant Ore Extractor

This is the #1 scenario where players get stuck. You have a Main Base with solar panels, and an Ore Deposit 100 meters away.

  1. Power Your Hub: Ensure your Base Core has active Solar Panels on its foundation.
  2. Place the Miner: Build the Ore Extractor on the resource node (e.g., Titanium or Wolfram).
  3. The “Magic” Link: Build a Smelter or Storage Container at the edge of your main base (where you have power).
  4. Connect the Rail: Construct an Industrial Rail starting from the Ore Extractor’s output and snapping it into your Smelter’s input.
  5. Result: As soon as the rail snaps, the “No Power” icon on the Extractor will vanish. The rail pulls power from the base to the mine.

Pro Tip: You do NOT need to build a second Base Core or separate Solar Panels at the mining site!

Troubleshooting: Why is my Power Grid Offline?

If you connected the rail and it is still dead, check these 3 common errors:

  • The “Air Gap”: StarRupture can be finicky with snapping. If your Solar Panels are on a separate foundation that isn’t physically touching your main factory floor, the power won’t flow. Use a Walkway to bridge the gap.
  • Night Cycle: Without Accumulators (Batteries), your entire grid shuts down at night. Solar Panels produce 0 power after sunset.
  • Base Core Range: While rails carry power, you cannot build structures outside your Base Core’s influence radius. You may need to build a “Repeater” or a second Core if you are expanding too far.

The “Cheater’s” Way: Infinite Power with XMODhub

Let’s be real: Managing a complex grid while fighting off waves of alien bugs and lava floods is stressful. Sometimes you just want to build a mega-factory without calculating voltage drop.

Since the game is in Early Access, there are no console commands to instantly fill batteries.

The XMODhub Trainer solves this by injecting code directly into the game memory:

How to use it:

XMOD APP
  • Launch StarRupture.
Easy to use XMOD Trainer interface for StarRupture with God Mode active
  • Toggle “Infinite Power”.
  • Your grid capacity will lock at 999,999, allowing you to power the entire planet with a single Solar Panel.

FAQ

Q: Is there really no copper wire item in StarRupture?

A: Correct. The developers removed wires to reduce visual clutter. You must use Rails or Foundations to connect buildings.

Q: My Solar Panels are on, but my machines are off?

A: Check your “Grid Consumption.” If your machines demand 150 Power but you only produce 100, the game will randomly shut off machines. Build more panels or use the XMODhub Infinite Power cheat.

Q: Can I use console commands to spawn items?

A: No. StarRupture does not have a developer console accessible to players. You must use a Trainer/Mod to spawn items or toggle God Mode.

Conclusion: Connect & Conquer

StarRupture forces you to unlearn habits from other factory games. Remember: The Rail IS the Wire.

Once you master this, you can expand across the dangerous surface of Arcadia-7. But if the constant need for maintenance is ruining your fun, don’t be afraid to use XMODhub. We support the latest Early Access build to keep your factory running, no matter what the planet throws at you.
